Within few years JUNES has developed from a small idea to a national considered band, which may look back on some pretty succesful career steps. In 2011 they have been playing 3 sold out concerts in Bern and Zurich with „Hurts“ in front of 4'500 people. In 2008 they played among other concerts, on the Sitterbühne at the Open Air St. Gallen in front of 2'000 people. The bands profile on the internetplatform myspace.com has been visited already over 70'000 times. Their songs have been bought in all kind of different places as France, Danemark, USA, Japan, Germany, Norway, Belgium, Algeria, Italy, Portugal and many more, thanks to itunes, musicme, etc.
The two frontmen from JUNES „Daniel Hauser“ and „Marc Frischknecht“ perform their songs live with a 7-headed band and have been playing alot of concerts in Switzerland and the near neighboring countries during the last two years. Several radio stations, primarily the two big radio stations Couleur3 and DRS3, play their songs on daily rotation. On the radio station FM1 the song „small steps“ remained over 50 weeks in the charts and achieved the 2nd pla- ce on the yearly based chart in 2009. Also on the local St. Gallen radio station toxic.fm, the song started on 1th position.
In April 2006, the first CD „you know“ has been released. Daniel Hauser (Vocals/Piano) and Marc Frischknecht (guitar) gathered already with their debut album a lot of good feedbacks from the critics and the radios have been playing their songs on daily rotation. The CD has been recorded prevailing in their flat share in St. Gallen, Linsebuehl. Over 3 years they have been writing in their own appartment. The videoclip for the single „if you were here“ was on the daily program on VIVA and also on Roboclip on the national tv station SF2. Radio station KanalK from Aarau, even elected the album „you know“ to „album of the week“.
In May 2008 „consequences“ the second album followed. That CD also has been created prevailing in their own flat, but has been recorded after with a live band. As well again, the feedbacks have been very nice and the songs have been played also on several radio stations.
With their new album „Donʼt Leave Me In Autumn“ JUNES show itself in a new light. Next to the familiar sound structures and the mellow melodies, JUNES mix elegantly traditional Cello or Violine with new electronic sounds. The output is a spherical mixture between old and new sounds, spherical, quiet and sometimes atypical.
Daniel Hauser and Marc Frischknecht are multisided musicians. Beside making music JUNES also can be seen in their first movie role as hippies in the new movie called "himmelfahrtskommando" starting October 2012 in cinemas.
