It’s Scooch By Scoot Inn!! The Rock Garage Texas Live Concert Series will be celebrating the CD release with 3 days of Rock and Roll shenanigans and festivities at The Scoot Inn on July Thurs. 07/21, Fri. 07/22, and Sat. 07/23. We can call it “Scooch by” for short. It’ll be just like southby except it’s only 3 days and only at one place. No hipsters, well, maybe a couple, but there’s plenty of parking , cheap drinks , and really good bands that you will want to see. Official International Release Date July 14, 2011 . This powerful collection features the formidable trash rockers Nashville Pussy, two side projects from Jeff Pinkus of Butthole Surfer fame, and the band for which the term Cowpunk was created, Austin’s own Hickoids among other legendary Texas favorites and a few up and comers soon to be classics in their own right. The Album also contains a fantastic cover of X’s classic hit ‘New World” by The Texas Sapphires, liked so much by Exene Cervenka, They were invited to play with The Knitters in Ft Worth. TX. The Rock Garage was created to showcase some of the best Austin music we have here on a regular basis. Most of the music that is featured on the label will either be from Austin TX or have some connection to the city . We hope you like it as much as we do. Austin has let it’s secret out of the bag with this record.
